Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Hyunbo Cho founded Alsemy in August 2019 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since inception, with his current term renewed on August 8, 2022. Under his leadership, Alsemy has pioneered AI (machine learning) applications in semiconductor technology, delivering cutting-edge device and process modeling solutions with advanced simulation capabilities. Prior to founding Alsemy, Mr. Cho served as Senior Engineer at SK Hynix from December 2011 to August 2019, where he specialized in compact modeling for both memory and logic technologies. His work included customized modeling of DRAM cells, NAND cells, ESD, SER, and emerging memory technologies, as well as the development of modeling software, including QA and parameter extraction tools. He received the SKMS Award for his contributions to next-generation model development and served as SK Hynix's representative in the Compact Modeling Coalition (CMC). Mr. Cho holds a Ph.D. (ABD) and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.

Director Qualifications: As Alsemy's Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cho brings to the Board his expertise and proven leadership in AI-driven semiconductor technology as well as valuable insight into our operations, management and culture, providing an essential link between the management and the Board on management's perspectives.
Independent Director
Professor Joungho Kim was appointed as an Independent Director of Alsemy on March 26, 2024. He currently serves as Dean at KAIST Office of Research and Head at KAIST Global Strategy Institute, and is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at KAIST since 1996. Professor Kim has extensive industry experience, having served as Research Engineer at Picometrix, USA (1993-1994), Principal Engineer at Samsung Electronics Memory DRAM Team (1994-1996), and Research Engineer at SiliconImage Inc. USA (2001-2002). He has held numerous leadership positions including Department Chair of KAIST Electrical Engineering (2011-2012), Chair Professor at KAIST ICT (2017), and Managing Director of multiple research centers including the 3D Semiconductor Research Center funded by SK Hynix (2012-2016). Professor Kim is an IEEE Fellow (2016) and has served as Technical Advisor to major companies including Hyundai Motors, Hyundai Mobis, and LG Electronics. His research focuses on semiconductor design and integration, signal and power integrity, machine learning applications in semiconductor design, and advanced packaging technologies including TSV and chiplet systems.

Director Qualifications: As an IEEE Fellow and distinguished professor with extensive industry and academic experience, Professor Kim brings world-class research expertise in semiconductor design, electromagnetic compatibility, and AI applications to the Board, providing valuable strategic guidance for Alsemy's technological direction and R&D initiatives.
Independent Director
Dong-Su Kim was reappointed as an Independent Director of Alsemy on March 25, 2025, having first been appointed on February 7, 2022. As the founding CEO of LG Technology Ventures, he established the fund structure, hired key people, and initiated investment operations. Under his guidance, LG Technology Ventures manages over $885 million of fund assets and invests in early-stage information technology, automotive, manufacturing, life-sciences, energy, and advanced materials companies. Previously, Mr. Kim served as Vice President and GM of Samsung Ventures America, managing offices in Menlo Park, Boston, London, and Tel Aviv, where he led investments in over thirty companies across diverse sectors including semiconductors (Soft Machines, Verisilicon, Wave Computing), equipment (DCG Systems, IMS, Reno Subsystems), materials (Nanosys, NexPlanar, Voltaix), and storage systems (Pure Storage). Prior to Samsung Ventures, he was a Director at Asia Evolution, an investment bank in Korea covering mid-market financing, private placement, and M&As, and served as Director at the Technology Strategy Office of Samsung Electronics, where as the CTO's staff, he was responsible for strategic venture investments and technology alliances. Mr. Kim began his career as a Technical Leader at Samsung Fiber Optics Business Unit in development of fiber optic components. His past Board Director appointments include notable technology companies such as Datera, Digital Specialty Chemicals, Femtometrix, Inpria, Reno Subsystems, SBA Materials, SVXR, D2S, DCG Systems (acquired by FEI), NexPlanar (acquired by Cabot), Voltaix (acquired by Air Liquide), Panasas, and Pixtronix (acquired by Qualcomm). He also served on the Investment Advisory Committee for Sierra Ventures.

Executive Director
Dr. Intae Jeong was reappointed as an Executive Director on March 25, 2025, having first been appointed on January 4, 2022. He joined Alsemy in March 2021 as Chief Product Officer (CPO), where he oversees product strategy and business development initiatives. Under his leadership, Dr. Jeong has successfully launched two major product lines that have been adopted by leading semiconductor manufacturers and has established strategic partnerships with key industry players. Alsemy has experienced significant growth in product adoption and expanded its market presence across Asia and North America under his guidance. His leadership is driven by his conviction that innovation in semiconductor R&D must be powered by AI technologies. Prior to joining Alsemy, Dr. Jeong worked at SK Hynix for 7 years (2014-2021) in two key roles. He spent four years as a DRAM Design Engineer, focusing on DRAM core design with expertise in design considering variations and Monte Carlo simulation. As AI emerged as a transformative force, he transitioned to the role of Data Scientist for three years, where he received education in machine learning and AI fields and applied these technologies to semiconductor data. Dr. Jeong holds a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology (2009-2014), a Master's in Physics (2007-2009), and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (2001-2007), all from Seoul National University.

Executive Director
Dr. Donghyun Jin was appointed as an Executive Director of Alsemy on March 25, 2025, and serves as the company's Chief Technology Officer since joining in August 2023. As CTO, he oversees the development of Alsemy's core AI-powered EDA technology platform and leads product strategy and business execution initiatives. Prior to joining Alsemy, Dr. Jin served as Principal Engineer in the Process Architecture team at Samsung Foundry, where he led the development of the company's most advanced logic technology node—3nm Gate-All-Around FET silicon process technology. Before Samsung Foundry, he was a Senior IC Design Engineer at Analog Devices Inc. from 2014 to 2018, working in the Aerospace, Defense, and Communications Business Unit within the RF/Microwave Product Group, where he successfully released high-performance analog IC products utilizing wide bandgap semiconductors such as GaN and GaAs. Dr. Jin's comprehensive experience spans from advanced process technology development at leading foundries to high-performance analog IC design for critical applications.
